Slackers Bar and Grill - Fort Lauderdale Sports Bar

After so many delays Slackers will finally be opening on Wednesday, April 7th.

Today we received our final sign-offs from the health department and the City of Fort Lauderdale. Many of you expected us to open this Friday and here is an explanation of why we are unable to. Our final document needed to officially open is our Liquor License transfer. This could not be submitted until we had our sign-offs from Health and City. The liquor transfer is just simply transferring the old license holders name into our name but this must be done through Tallahassee and can take 2 days before it is complete which means we won't get it until Friday.

So with that said, there is simply no way we could get our transfer Friday and get liquor on the same day as the liquor companies need 24 hours notice to deliver. They do not deliver on Saturdays and a few of them don't deliver on Mondays either so we decided it was just best to open Wednesday and make sure all of our beer and liquor is in.

We will be announcing a grand opening date very soon. It will be about 2 weeks following the soft opening.
